The Chronology
The earliest known span of Arqenuvam’s history, when the world and its first peoples emerged.

The Genesis Council’s awakening marked the beginning of recorded time, and the opening 2,500 Edicts established the world’s matter, continents, oceans, and magical substrate.
Across Cycle I, Edicts 5001–8000, sentient peoples and Elemental Spirits emerged, establishing the living world that would later build Arqenuvam’s civilisations.
At the close of the First Cycle, the Genesis Council withdrew from direct involvement and Cycle II began under the Great Silence, leaving mortal peoples to shape the age that followed.
The opening centuries of Cycle II, when permanent cities rose and celestial divisions hardened.

Between Cycle II, Edicts 101–300, Veridia emerged on the Veridian Shore as Arqenuvam’s first great city, with early Aeterna influence becoming embedded in mortal civilisation.
The Verdant Accord formalised Aeterna-backed hierarchy; Xylos’s dissent, escalating repression, Lyra’s death during his attempted arrest, and his catastrophic Terraforming Edict then sundered part of Veridia before the Aeterna killed him.
The first world-shaping celestial conflict, from the crisis around Veridia to the poisoned legacy left on the western coast.

The Khaotari declaration of war opened the conflict from Edict 1201 onward; full-scale hostilities ran through Edict 1450, devastating the mortal world before a costly Aeterna victory ended open fighting.
After open hostilities ended, the Khaotari placed a Plague Curse over the already-sundered Veridian Shore, completing its long-term transformation into the toxic, miasma-ridden Sunken Coast.

An age of resettlement, new institutions, and changing celestial power between the two great wars.

Across Edicts 1601–2000, survivors gathered at the strategic river delta and founded Concordia, governed by the Council of Four Voices and protected by major Chronicler works.
Between Edicts 2001–2500, moderate Aeterna led by Solara broke with increasingly interventionist hardliners, deepening the ideological divide that would later enable Valitra’s rise.
A cooperative fantasy village-building experience set around Cycle II, Edict 2200 during Arqenuvam's long interwar age.

Between Edicts 2601–2800, Valitra forged the Crystalforged Legion through world-shaping magic, creating an obedient force that marked a major escalation in Aeterna coercion.
In Edicts 3101–3105, Valitra personally descended on Concordia; resistance collapsed, Council governance was replaced by Aeterna military rule, and the Chroniclers were driven into exile.
Around Edict 3150, oppression under the post-3101 regime drove a Magician exodus; exiled Chroniclers guided the refugees to establish Arcanum on the storm-ravaged Sunken Coast.
The later catastrophe that drew the wider world into conflict and brought the old Concordian order to an end.

The wider Second Celestial War began with the Tier V rupture and Valitra’s fall from Edict 3201 onward, expanded into continent-wide total war in 3330, reached its decisive climax in 3347, and formally closed after cleanup in 3350.
From Edict 3330, the wider conflict became a full continental war across multiple fronts, drawing mortal peoples and their cities directly into the Second Celestial War until the decisive 3347 climax.
Already hollowed by internal division, Concordia was breached and sacked in Edict 3347, ending the City of Harmony and leaving the ruined delta that would later become Havenstone.
An age of reconstruction in which survivors rebuilt cities, institutions, and shared life after the war.

From around Edict 3355, survivors founded Havenstone on Concordia’s ruined river delta and a multispecies reconstruction transformed the new city; the New Council of Four was established in Edict 3380.
A peaceful fantasy life-sim set in Cycle II, Edict 3400 within Arqenuvam's post-war Silent Years chronology.
